Tavis Adibudeen , Director of Publishing

Adibudeen is the pen name of the veteran writer and author of The Golden Scrolls, Tavis J. Hampton. Brother Adibudeen has worked for the unity of Muslims since the inception of One Ummah Network. He is married and is the father of two girls. He accepted Islam over twelve years ago and has been working to increase his knowledge and unite Muslims ever since. His responsibilities include the oversight of both One Ummah Network and the Muslim Writers Society, webmaster of both sites, and staff writer.

 

Taubah Blackman , Executive Editor

An acclaimed poet and literary enthusiast, Taubah Blackman brings a rich mixture of both East and West to One Ummah Network. She was born in Sudan, and both her mother and father are scholars of Islam. She is currently studying creative writing and provides One Ummah with the editing experience and organizational leadership necessary to promote our mission of unity and universal morality. She is the mother of two girls and a devoted wife.


Ameera Rahim , Editor

Over the past two years, Ameera has worked tirelessly for the Muslim Writers Society, being flooded with dozens of weekly submissions. She has demonstrated poise and discernment in her duties. She is both a visionary and an activist. She is married and is the mother of two children.


Joy Karugu , Editor

A student at the prestigious Princeton University, Joy brings to the Muslim Writers Society years of editing and writing experience.  She has been a news staff writer with the Daily Princetonian, and is currently an on-campus columnist for the Princeton Alumni Weekly.  She is also on the prose staff and is treasurer of the Nassau Literary Review.  


Rashidah Khalifah, Staff Writer

Rashidah is a veteran contributor to One Ummah Network, and it pleases us greatly to now count her among the staff writers. She has excelled in both creative writing and eloquent essays.
