The five obligatory prayers are:

1. Fajr or dawn prayer. Fajr prayer starts at the break of dawn, and the time window for its performance extends until sunrise.

2. Zuhur or the afternoon prayer. The timing of Zuhur is from the early afternoon till mid- afternoon.

3. Asr prayer starts at mid-afternoon, or when the shadows are approximately the same size as their source, and ends at sunset. (There are different methods of calculating the Asr timing according to various schools of thought (particularly the Shafi'i and Hanafi schools -- consult the scholar(s) you trust).

4. Magreb or the after sunset prayer, begins at the setting of the sun and is availible until nightime.

5. Isha or night prayer whose window opens at nightfall and closes [many scholars believe] at midnight.

Note: According to some schools of thought, particularly the Ja'fari school, Zuhu and Asr share a common time window, and Maghrib and Isha share a common time window.  Thus, these sets of prayers can be combined (i.e. 'Asr can be prayed immediately after Zuhur, or Zuhur can be delayed and prayed right before 'Asr).
